Kevin London had woken up early yesterday morning, determined to have a productive day. Hours later while reflecting, London believed the day had been a good enough one. However, that perception soon changed; he had
never expected that shortly after lunch, he and his car would be submerged in a canal.
Shortly after struggling to save his life, a drenched London explained that the accident which saw his car plunging into the North Road Canal had been completely unforeseen.
When questioned about what exactly happened, London could only reply, “I got out.”
After taking a moment to collect himself, the trembling driver explained that he was coming from Kitty when a car (number given) hit him from behind and sped away.
According to London, he was heading west along North Road while the other driver was heading south on Shiv Chanderpaul Drive.
“I was coming from Kitty and I barely see the car coming, so I slow down. By the time I slow down, he lash the back of my vehicle and I end up overboard,” he said. “When the car went down, I end up pushing the door and I got out…it was hard but I pushed.” At the time, he said, he was alone and the windows were fortunately down.
London added that he is thankful to be alive.
