DEAR EDITOR,
We are business people operating for years now in the Bourda area on Regent Street.
Within the last few days, we were told by police that our cars must be parked in an east to west/west to east direction, to ease congestion.
This in our opinion would not make sense as it would be taking up a lot of space, with no place for customers to park.
Until now, cars were allowed to park diagonally. To allow for the new request will mean one car taking up the space of three. Where will our customers park now?
Our suggestion is that they cut the speed limit on Regent Street to 35 km/h and that would solve every problem…
