The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) last weekend hosted a successful
Referee Instructor/Assessor Course for its local Assessors which attracted Referee Assessors and Instructors from Regions 3, 4, 6, 8 and 10.
There were a total of sixteen participants which included for the first time, two female Referee Assessors.
This is the first course of its kind which was facilitated by the GFF’s local Instructors/Assessors, Mr. Abdulla Hamid, Mr. Ingram Johnson and Mr. Roy McArthur. Head of the federations Referees Department, Lancaster, said that the aim course is to have well trained Assessors and Instructors to properly assess match officials during all levels of games and tournaments across Guyana and to also aid in the development of Referees.
The GFF will be hosting a series of Recruitment Drives with its first Beginner’s Course set to commence on May 22 – 25. Interested persons are asked to contact Lancaster on 2278758 or via email [email protected].
These courses are part of the continued development plans of the federation for the sport and will target Coaches, Referees and Players.
