The ‘Vote like a Boss’ campaign which took social media by storm last week urging everyone to vote in the National and Regional elections last week resulted in the APNU/AFC Coalition winning the elections.
Former President Donald Ramotar was then “put out like a boss” from State House to make way for the new President David A. Granger.
Known as “the man of many powers” according to persons on social media, the now former President seems quite powerless.
The then President Donald Ramotar had called for early elections sighting after the opposition threatened a no-confidence motion against him.
Donald Ramotar avoided the no-confidence motion by naming a date for National and Regional elections and dissolving the Parliament last December.
After the official results were issued by the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) Mr. Ramotar was still in denial. He made claims for a recount and insisted that the elections were rigged although the international observers, including the ABC countries, assured all of Guyana that the elections were free and fair.
The former President was seen vacating State House before the official results of the National and Regional Elections were announced. He started moving when the preliminary results were announced and people were seen celebrating.
He officially left State House on Sunday.
