Wanted bulletin for Sophia girl’s alleged killer
Police are seeking the help of the public to locate Shivanand Roopnarine, called ‘Shiv’ or ‘Tuck,’ in connection with the April 19 murder of 18-year-old Alicia Mc Pherson at B Field, Sophia.

The suspect is said to be 22 years old, of Indian ancestry, and gave his last known address as Lot 478 School Street, Grove Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara.
Anyone with information that may lead to Roopnarine’s address is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 225-8196, 229-2557,
229-2702, 911 or the nearest police station. All information will be treated with strict confidence.
Alicia Mc Pherson, of Lot 612 ‘C’ Field Sophia, was stabbed several times after the suspect allegedly lured her away from a dance at Sophia.
The killer fled the scene and remains at large.
