Representatives of the top four finishers of the recently concluded inaugural Busta
Sparta Boss representative Devon Millington (left) receives the first prize money from Petra Organisation Co-Director Troy Mendonca yesterday, at the Guinness Bar on Durban Street.
Soft Shoe Football Competition received their individual prizes, during a simple ceremony that was conducted, at the Guinness Bar on Durban Street.
Making the presentation on behalf of the title sponsor was Co-Director of Petra Organisation Troy Mendonca.
Devon Millington received the first prize for Sparta Boss that defeated West Front Road 4-2 in the final, while all the other team representatives collected their monetary pizes as well.
Sheldon Shepherd of Sparta Boss was adjudged the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) and awarded $50,000 compliments of 2J’s General Store.
Sophia’s Dwayne Lowe copped the highest goal scorer accolade with nine goals in five matches and he won a gold chain from Junior’s Jewellery.
The Most Disciplined Team award went to West Front Road and they received $25,000 compliments of Guyana Beverage Company.
Apart from the Guyana Beverages Inc, the other sponsors on board were Lucky Dollar, GT&T, Star Party Rentals, Junior’s Jewellery & Gift Shop, Nigel’s Supermarket, 2Js General Store and Mendonca Creole.
