A Guyanese woman is now in police custody after she was busted with cocaine before she could board a flight at the Ogle Airport, bound for Barbados.
The woman had the drug strapped to her body when ranks from the police anti-narcotics unit intercepted her.
Meanwhile, the woman found with the drugs is expected to be charged and placed before the courts as early as today.
The ranks also detained another woman who they believed was travelling with the suspect, after they harboured suspicion that she too had ingested drugs.
However, an x-ray did not reveal any drugs in her system and she denied that she was travelling with the suspect.
