The Guyana Police force continues its police community partnership with a number of Community interaction in various communities in Guyana.
One such interaction was held recently at the Bath Community Centre between the Police on the West Berbice and the residents of Bath West Berbice and surrounding areas.
During the interaction which took the form of a fun day, the various teams were made up of residents who either represented selected teams or their respective villages. The police contingent also participated in their respected teams or in some cases combined with the other teams.
A number of indoor and outdoor games were contested including Dominoes, whist, volleyball, athletics and cricket. A wide array of novelty games were also played including tug-o-war, climbing the greasy pole and catching the greasy pig.
According to woman Sergeant Cynthia Kelly, the interaction was part of a number of initiatives being undertaken by the force in their police community relationship.
