housewife, and her husband, Hilton Bacchus, lived at Golden Fleece, West Coast Berbice. But when the two lived at Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara, where they had a domestic fallout and it is understood that the woman torched the house.
On Sunday her husband burnt her house to the ground.
After the problems at Mahaicony the two subsequently reunited and lived at Golden Fleece, West Coast Berbice.
According to the police the woman reported on Sunday that she was being assaulted by her husband. She reported that he pelted her with cell phones. The police subsequently the scene but the man escaped.
According to the woman she subsequently left the house and went to her sister’s house in the same village.
She was at her sister’s home around 7:00 hrs when she was informed that her house was on fire. She quickly hurried to the scene where she saw her house on fire. Her husband was seen running away from the scene. He has not been arrested as yet.
