Apr 29, 2015 Letters
DEAR EDITOR,
I refer to a letter to the editor “Is GRA sleeping?” written by F Hamed and published by your newspaper on April 28th 2015 which implied that something was sinister about New GPC’s finances as it relates to the GCC/GFC investment offer.
Mr Hamed makes a juvenile assertion about the source of funding. Like most companies in Guyana, the source of funding for such venture would be from the commercial banks. It is safe to say that no company would have US$30M (G$6.3B) sitting around idly waiting to invest in Bourda like he mentioned.
New GPC Inc. continues to be the leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Guyana and the Caribbean, the company’s contribution to the delivery of quality medicines, employment and taxes cannot be undermined by the inkling of Mr Hamed and other detectors.
