2014 Trophy Stall Novice Doubles Champion Daniel Razick completed his Novice stint by defeating 2014 GBTI Novice Singles finalist Charles Adams 6-1. Throughout the match Razick showed perfect form and consistency as he maintained his composure to win.
Also a new marathon man emerged in the Men’s Over 35 Singles when Godfrey Lowden held his ground for 3 hours and 20mins to defeat resilient veteran Rudy Grant 6-7(6/8), 7-5, 6-2 after defeating Chethan Narayan 7-6(10/8), 6-2. Also in this category Sanjeev Datadin beat Harry Panday 4-6, 6-0, 6-3.
In the Men’s Over 45 Singles Godfrey Lowden also blasted Stephen David-Longe 6-0, 6-1 to book the first place in the Semifinals.
In the Ladies Open Singles semis, Coach Shelly Daly-Ramdyhan set up a final against her daughter Nicola Ramdyhan when she made light work of Kizzy Richmond 6-0, 6-2. Junior champ Nicola clenched a win at 7-6(9-7), 6-0 over Aretta Dey who recently returned to the competitive arena.
In the Men’s Open Singles category, the number 1 seed, Anthony Downes rolled into Quarter Finals by defeating Oswin Coggins 6-0, 6-3 and will play Sandeep Chand who got past Keenan Persud 4-6, 6-1, 6-3. Daniel Lopes brushed aside the veteran Rudy Grant 6-0, 6-1 in the 3rd round and Nicholas Glasgow 6-1, 6-1 to gain a place in the Semis. Nicholas Glasgow claimed a win earlier against 6-3, 6-2 over Stephen Bailey.
Benjettan Osborne finally sealed a win against William Spangler with 6-4, 6-7, 6-2. Leyland Leacock beat Osborne 6-2, 6-3 after defeating Andre Erskine 4-6, 7-5, 6-0. Philbert Clarke beat Hemant Dalip 6-3, 6-2 and Mark McDonald won 6-3, 6-2 against Hemraj Resaul.
