Positions at the top 5 or so places continue to change each week as golfers vie to excel in the exciting
President’s 9-Hole Golf League at the Lusignan Golf Club. At the end of the 3rd week’s or 3rd day’s play, the table indicates new names in the top 5. At the end of the 4th week’s play there were further changes. Upsets are always possible in such a highly competitive endeavour!
To add to the excitement for the remaining 2 weeks’ (2 Thursdays’) play, the Club President David Mohamad has informed that 2 more prizes are to be added at the top so that there will be 4 Best Net prizes and 2 Best Gross prizes. Moreover, for golfers present at the final day’s play, there will also be some surprise prizes! President Mohamad is pleased at the continued enthusiasm of the golfers able to participate in the League.
Meanwhile, the Golf Course is being maintained at an extremely high standard, with Greens firm and smooth, Fairways well cut, and even the Roughs are more comfortable to play from. President Mohamad was high in praise for the work being done on the grounds through the guidance of Grounds Supervisor Rabindranath ‘Pandit Ravi’ Persaud.
The public is invited to view these Thursday 3:30 p.m. League tournaments – like all other tournaments at the Lusignan Golf Course – free of charge.
This weekend, Sunday 26th there will also be a Scotiabank sponsored 18-hole tournament at the Course.
