Players participating in the inaugural Busta Soft Shoe Football Tournament
have even more encouragement to showcase their skills after organisers Petra Organisation received support for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) from local hardware giant 2Js General Store on Regent Street.
During a simple ceremony that was conducted at the entity’s location yesterday, Supervisor Loyette Barnwell handed over a cheque worth $50,000 which will go towards the tournament’s MVP to Petra Organisation’s Mark Alleyne in the presence of Co-Director Troy Mendonca and Ohnoica Brammah.
Speaking at the occasion, Barnwell said that the entity was proud to be part of the tournament, adding that it is indeed a pleasure for them to be able to extend such generosity. Mendonca in his response first expressed delight at the gesture, informing that Petra Organisation was happy to be associated with the business entity while stating that the incentive for the MVP is a step in the right direction.
According to the Co-Director, 2Js has long been associated with the Organisation, adding that the goodwill further emphasises the strong relationship that exist between the two parties.
