Silver Jubilee 1990 – 2015…RHTYSC name teams for Ansa McAl May Day 5 Overs Tournament

The Selection Committee of the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club has declared its two teams for the Club’s Silver Jubilee Anniversary Ansa McAl May Day 5 Overs Cricket Tournament at the Area ‘H’ Ground.  The tournament, which would be played on Friday May 1st, 2015, would involve twelve teams – Rose Hall Town Bakewell ‘A’, Rose Hall Town Bakewell ‘B’, Young Warriors, Courtland, Fyrish, Chesney, Jai Hind, Block 4 Tain, Tamarind Root of Hampshire, Whim, Albion and Yakusari of Black Bush Polder.
Organized by the Cricket Development Committee of the RHTYSC, the tournament would bowl off at 9:00 am sharp and the winner would take home $70,000 and a trophy.  There would also be prizes for the Man of the Finals, Best Batsman and best Bowler, while funds raised would be used for the RHTYSC Cricket Nursery Programme and massive anti-drugs/suicide programmes which targets over 60,000 youths in Berbice.
The teams announced are: Rose Hall Town Bakewell ‘A’ – James Fraser (Captain), Vidal Crandon, Khemraj Mahadeo, Delbert Hicks, Akshay Homraj, Jason Alexander, Brandon Prasad, Mark Papannah, Roydel Lewis, Erva Giddings, Sherain Murray, Slyus Tyndal, Mark Fernandes, Joel Pike, Ryan O’Dell and Joshua Wilson.
Rose Hall Town Bakewell ‘B’ – Junior Williams, Surendra Kissoonlall, Surendra Budhoo, Kevlon Anderson, Clive Harry, Simon Lawson, Ryan Tillack, Azam Khan, Kumar Jeet Joseph, Sunil Madimutoo, Joshua Gobin, Vitindra Kumar, Denzil Sinclair and Samuel Lewis.
The RHTYSC, according to its Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster, would be organizing three more tournaments like the Ansa McAl 5 overs tournament along with the Busta Champion of Champions in 2015.  The club would also be hosting a double wicket tournament in the fourth quarter of the year.
The final of the 2014 Busta Champion of Champions tournament would be played on the 25th April at the Albion Community Centre Ground under lights.  Arch Rivals RHT Gizmos and Gadgets and Albion would clash for the winner package of $100,000.  The match would be broadcasted live on NCN Radio.
