All set for D’Edward Sports Club annual t20 cricket fundraiser

The D’Edward Sports Club of West Bank Berbice presents their Annual Fundraiser, a T20 tournament involving four top teams in the area, namely: Young Warriors Cricket Club, Blairmont Blazers, Cotton Tree Die Hard and the host. The tournament will be held today at the D’Edward Cricket Ground.
It is anticipated to be a fun filled day of T20 cricket.  Kids will have access to the Bouncer Castle for the entire day.
The action is set to start at 10:00am with the first Semi-Final between D’Edward Sports Club and Young Warriors. The Second Semi-Final is set for 2pm between Cotton Tree Die Hard and Blairmont Blazers. A third place play-off for 1 case cold Banks Beer and a trophy will follow under lights. This match is sponsored by Basil Sports Bar.
The grand final will follow with the winner taking home $100,000 and a beautiful trophy sponsored by Alvin Chowramootoo’s Investments. The Runner-Up will take home $50,000 and a trophy sponsored by Alvin Chowramootoo’s Construction Services.
Over the years the club has dominated second division cricket in Berbice and has since gained first division status.
Proceeds from this event will go towards the further development of the venue and the day to day running of the club.

Cotton Tree Die Hard: Roshan Gafoor (captain), Romesh Boodram, Pooran Persaud, Abdul Subhan, Nashad Gaffoor, Jagdeo Persaud, Afzal Haroon, Keith Fraser, Ishwar Singh, Keon Fraser, Chris Pattadin, Arif Chand, Permaul Singh, Tage Singh, Brentnol Woolford.
