Hetmyer made Demerara pay for their mistakes, after being put down off Rutherford, the left hander smashed the pacer for three fours in the said over before punching Jayaden Mana four another. Baldeo timed the ball well and just after reaching his fifty off 55 balls, he deposited Basdeo for a six and a four after being put down off the said bowler three balls earlier. Hetmyer continued to gather his runs and reached his century with a boundary off Mana. Baldeo who slammed eight fours was then caught off Travis Persaud for 66. Hetmyer followed soon after, hit-wicket off Tariq Dharanlall for 144. His innings contained 16 fours and lasted for 124 balls.
Berbice then lost a few quick wickets but Parmanand Ramdhan beefed up his team total with a cameo 48 with six fours and a six before he was bowled by Rutherford who dispatched the lower order to finish with 5-68, while Dharanlall had 2-22.
