Day Two of the inaugural Busta Soft Shoe Football Competition saw some exciting matches with five of the six engagements producing outright wins when played continued on Saturday night, at the GFC ground.

One of the most emphatic performances came from Bent Street, a line-up that included stars such as national midfielder Konata Manning and club standouts Shevane Seaforth, Sheldon Holder and Daniel Wilson.
They inflicted a crushing 6-2 triumph over North East La Penitence with Manning and Wilson netting a brace apiece, while there was one each for Seaforth and Holder. The lone drawn encounter was a fascinating matchup that featured Globe Yard and North Ruimveldt which ended 1-1.
Another feature of the night’s proceedings was the quality of the goals that were scored which indicated that teams are warming to the task of giving the fans value for their money. Among those present once again were Busta Regional Brand Manager Christine Kellawan and General Manager of Guyana Beverages Inc. Robert Selman, whose Company is the Platinum sponsor dolling out over $4million.
The other sponsors include: GT&T, Lucky Dollar, Star Party Rentals, Mendonca Creole and Nigel’s Supermarket. The competition resumes tomorrow with six more games at the Tucville ground.
In the fixtures: Queen Street of Tiger Bay tackles Stevedore Housing Scheme, Ballerz take on Sophia, Alexander Vikkage engages California Square, before Leopold Street go up against Kitty Weavers. This encounter will be followed by the clash between North Ruimveldt and West back Road, while in the final game of the night, Sparta Boss square off against Charlestown. Game-3: Back Circle-1 vs West Back Road-0. Kevin Boters-15th.
Game-4: Bent Street-6 vs North East La Penitence-2. Bent Street Scorers, Konata Manning-9th and 19th, Daniel Wilson-10th and 25th, Sheldon Holder-2nd, Shevane Seaforth-26th. North East Scorers, Shaquille Brown-5th, Carl Tudor-13th.
