Prashad Nagar businessman Nandall Persaud had to flee for his life last Thursday after a gunman fired shots at him before escaping with two accomplices in a car.
According to reports, the 54-year-old cambio dealer was driving to his Prashad Nagar home at around 15.00 hrs when a burgundy car, with three men inside, stopped near his vehicle.
Persaud reportedly then heard someone call his name and saw one of the occupants of the car standing on the roadway. A source said that the businessman began to run and the man fired three shots after him all of which missed. The gunman and his accomplices then fled in their car.
Police recovered three 9mm shells from the scene.
Repeated efforts to reach Persaud proved unsuccessful.
