Star Party Rentals became the latest entity to pledge support to the Petra Organisation, organisers of the Busta Soft Shoe Football Tournament which kicks off tomorrow, at the Georgetown Football Club

During a simple ceremony which was conducted in the office of the donor yesterday, Representative Robert Joseph made the presentation to Co-Director Troy Mendonca in the company of fellow staffer Kesheke Washington.
Mendonca in his response thanked proprietor Lennox Cush for his Company’s support, noting that the assistance is timely and important. “What they are providing is a key component to the success of the tournament and we are grateful for it at this critical juncture,” Mendonca said.
He also spoke of the strong relationship that exists between the two entities which according to him goes far back, citing the Company’s support at most events that they’ve organised.
The Soft Shoe tournament will see a number of community teams being involved and playing for a top prize of $600,000, while 2nd place- $300,000, 3rd place -$200,000 and 4th place -$100,000 respectively.
The teams selected are: North East La Penitence, North Ruimveldt, West Back Road, Sophia, Queen Street of Tiger Bay, Holmes Street of Tiger Bay, Albouystown, Tucville, Globe Yard, Leopold Street, Cross Street, Kitty, Bent Street, Durban Street, Sparta Boss, Charlestown, Broad Street, California Square, Back Circle, Brazilian Team, Stevedore Housing Scheme, Festival City, West Front Road and Alexander Village.
