Twenty-two-year-old Anthony Joseph, who confessed to killing his paramour, 27-year-old Quineza Paterica Benn, sometime Monday night last, has been charged with murder.
Joseph appeared before Magistrate Sunil Scarce, on Friday and was subsequently remanded to prison. He was cautioned not to enter a plea, since the charge was indictable.
According to a report, Joseph killed Benn sometime between Monday night and the wee hours of the morning. Benn was discovered Tuesday morning, fully clothed, with several marks about her body in a clump of bushes near a hotel, at Charity. A post mortem examination certified that Benn died as a result of perforation of the heart due to a stab wound.
