A mother of two found herself before the court to answer to a fraudulent conversion charge.
Kimmy Hendricks of 223 Lamaha Squatting Area, denied the allegation which stated that on February 17, at Georgetown, being entrusted by Denise Hillman with a quantity of male and female clothing totaling $247, 000, she fraudulently converted the articles to her own use and benefit.
The prosecution did not provide the court with any facts about what transpired on the day in question.
Hendricks’ lawyer, Paul Fung-a-Fat asked that his client be released on bail since her two children are depending on her for financial support. He explained that the clothing was given to Hendricks by Hillman to sell, however his client was unable to sell all the items.
Counsel concluded that the remaining items are lodged at Hendricks’ home.
The prosecution had no objections to bail and the accused was granted bail to the tune of $40,000.
She will make her next court appearance on March 30, before Magistrate Alex Moore.
