The Hikers Hockey Club’s 5th edition of its Junior Indoor Tournament, which promises to be one of the most memorable in since the tournament’s inception, and commenced yesterday, will continue today at 5:30pm at the national gymnasium.
Sponsored by Woodpecker Products, Global Technology ans iNet Communications, the action continues with the iNet Communications under 13 category which will commence at 9:00am this morning followed by the Global Technology under 16 categories starting at 12:40pm. The Global Technology Inter Schools category begins on Sunday morning at 10:00am followed by the conclusion of the Woodpecker Products under 21 categories starting at 2:00pm.
In addition to the players, the spectators will also have chances to win prizes, with several spectator challenges planned during the tournament. The tournament is part of the Hikers Hockey Club’s junior development programme and helps to raise funds for their annual junior tour to Trinidad in November. The tournament is run predominantly by the junior players themselves, with minimal supervision from senior members of the club.
