Western Tigers, Renaissance, Santos, and Order and Discipline were among the teams winning on opening day (Saturday) of the Massy United Insurance Under-15 Football Competition which is being played at the Tucville Community Centre ground.
In the day’s full results:
Western Tigers defeated Georgetown Football Club (GFC) three goals to one. The goal scorers for Western Tigers FC were a double for Dominic Battse and one goal for Romel Maxwell and scoring for GFC was Ruben Miller.
Renaissance FC hammered Riddim Squad FC seven goals to one. The goal scorers for Renaissance being Isaiah Nero, Beveny Marks, Tony Vankenic, Carl Lynch and Travis Hercules with a double coming from the boot of Sherman Bobb.
Santos gained a walk over from Houston Stars who were a no show.
Fruta Conquerors FC and Beacon FC drew nil all.
Camptown FC and Pele FC drew one all, with the goal scorers being Carlton Mitchell and Julian Smith and in the final game of the day.
Order and Discipline FC defeated Black Pearl FC three goals to nil. The goal scorers were Steve Santes, SeadenBallamy and Junior Simon.
Meanwhile, the competition was set to resume yesterday with six more matches at the same venue.
In the fixtures: Santos FC versus Riddim Squad FC; Houston Stars vs. GFC; Western Tigers vs. Renaissance; Camptown vs. Beacon; Pele vs. Order and Discipline and Black Pearl vs. Fruta Conquerors.
