…Freedom Life Ministries to host life changing empowerment seminar
“There is not a single woman who would not like to be able to live above whatever struggle they might be
going through in their daily life but the challenge is that they may not know how to do so… that is where empowerment comes in.. hence the theme of our conference “
These comments were made recently by head of the Women on the Move Department of Freedom Life Ministries Inc. Pastor Delight Uwagboe in reference to the church’s annual Women’s Conference scheduled for this week.
Under the theme “ Women Stronger than Their Struggles (part 2), the conference which will run from Wednesday March 12 to Saturday March 14 has as its main aim to empower and enlighten women on how to live lives of victory by discovering their true purpose and overcoming obstacles on a daily basis.
Pastor Uwagboe noted that now in its second year, the conference was birthed out of the need that exists in society for “real discussions in the church setting about issues affecting women.”
“Sometimes churches can become so spiritually obsessed and motivated that they can forget that the members are real people with real problems and the truth is that women as a gender have issues that are unique to us that cannot necessarily be addressed from the pulpit … but they need to be addressed because the majority of any church population are women.”
“The theme of the seminar tells the aim ; to empower women to become stronger than their struggles: the keys and answers to all these issues are enshrined in the word of God and while this will be our basis, the facilitators of this seminar are trained in responding to women’s issues so a realistic approach will be taken.. This
conference will be life changing for all who attend.”
She said the sessions are geared at empowering women to live victorious lives by tapping in to resources that are available to them every day. “Indeed women are greater than their struggles but they have to know what the keys are to enable them to move from a place of defeat and despair to enjoying a life of freedom, peace and abundance as God ordained it….that’s what this conference will be teaching”.
Pastor Uwagboe said that the four days will see explosive discussion on riveting and ‘down to earth’ topics such as “ God Heal My Marriage /Relationship , “Scarred But Healed’ Overcoming the Pain of Abuse “, “The Power of a Praying Woman” and “The Role of a Mother /Wife.”
She explained that the format of the sessions over the four days will comprise ‘general ministry’ where participants will receive prophetic impartation, healing and deliverance as well as plenary sessions which will see the esteemed panel of facilitators answering questions from participants.
The consultations, counseling and spiritual impartations will be conducted mainly by renowned overseas-based speakers Drs. Darlene Day and Victoria Michaels of the USA as well as Pastor Michelle Sobers of Guyana.
