The racewalkers will start things off when they convene at the Linden Bridge (Wismar end) at 06:00hrs for a prompt start of activities half an hour later. They will then proceed along the Winifred Gaskin’s Highway before culminating at the Bayroc Sports and Training Centre, Wisroc.
The first three finishers in the senior male and female categories will receive lucrative prizes along with winners in the junior, veteran and differently able categories.
Meanwhile, upon the conclusion of racewalk activities at around 10:00hrs, the other activities will get underway. Ten teams will don gears in a 10-10 softball cricket competition shortly before other teams battle for honours in the 5-a- side football competition. Then there is the circle tennis competition followed by a 5-a-side Beach football competition.
Patrons can then shake a leg when the organizers cap the day with a Bar-B-Que and Lime at the same venue with music being supplied by DJ Deckie and Stonewall Sound System.
