The relatives of a 68-year-old teacher, Aubrey Hercules, who has been residing between Richmond Housing Scheme and Bush Lot Village on the Essequibo Coast for the last two years, say he has not been seen since Wednesday last. He was last seen by a priest boarding a minibus at Parika.
Brother-in-law of the missing man, Lawrence Allen, said that he last saw Hercules some time last week. Allen said that he was told by one of Hercules’s neighbours that Hercules had told her that he was traveling to Georgetown to conduct some business.
A worried Allen stated that Hercules has no reason to go to Georgetown since he has competent persons who are taking care of his financial affairs. He also stated that the missing man’s eyesight is not good; he suffers from near sightedness.
Hercules taught for many years in the Bahamas. He is originally from Bush Lot, Essequibo Coast.
Allen is appealing to the general public to contact these telephone numbers 685-3298 or 673-6560 if anyone happens to see Hercules wandering in the city.
