Guyana underlined its seriousness about the defence of its regional title after sweeping the top groups in the opening leg of the Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) which was staged, at Jamwest Speedway in Westmoreland, Jamaica.
According to reports reaching this newspaper, reigning regional champion Kristian Jeffrey dominated the Group 4, winning two races, while Superbike champion Stephen ‘Valentino Rossi’ Vieira captured a similar amount of victories with the young and upcoming Elliott Vieira grabbing a win as well to crown an outstanding day for the Guyanese.
It was also reported that Kristian’s father Kevin blew his engine, but no other information was forthcoming. The full details of the Guyanese performance will be published in a subsequent issue.
