Imran and Daughters of Public Road, Rose Hall Town has agreed to sponsor an Inter-Primary School softball competition in support of the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTY&SC) Silver Jubilee Anniversary

Imran Hamid, a long serving sponsor of the RHTY&SC stated that the competition will attract female students from Primary Schools in the Rose Hall Town district.
Club Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster said the 8-over a side tournament would be contested by Rose Hall Town, Port Mourant and Tain Primary Schools. The club would use the opportunity to identify new players for its Rose Hall Metro Female team, while West Indies female players Shemaine Campbelle and Erva Giddings would spend time with the players to encourage and guide them.
RHTY&SC would also promote its “Say Yes to Education and Say No to Drugs and Suicide” message to the students. Foster expressed gratitude to Mr. Imran Hamid describing him as a true friend of Guyana’s leading youth and sports organization.
Hamid stated that his business was pleased to be associated with the RHTY&SC, an organization he described as a model of excellence and progress. The Hamid’s chain of stores also includes Imran and Son and the Imran Family Store and the former President of the Central Corentyne Chambers of Commerce pledged more assistance in the future, once the general public continues to support his business.
Sports, Hamid stated is the best alternative for youths away from a life of crime and drugs. The tournament would be held on Tuesday next at the Area ‘H’ ground. From 10:00hrs, Rose Hall Town will oppose Belvedere; Port Mourant play Tain from 11:15hrs. The third place game will be contested at 12:15hrs while the final will bowl off at 13:00hrs.
