The President, Executives and Members of the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) would like to extend congratulations to West Indies left arm spinner Veerasamy Permaul on being Guyana’s 2014 Sportsman of Year.
“We at the BCB are very proud of Permaul once again as he continues to be a shining light in Berbice’s cricket and copping the 2014 Guyana Sportsman of the Year Award is well deserved.”
The Board would also like to take this opportunity to wish him continued success in the on-going Regional First Cricket League and is very confident that he will soon regain his place in the West Indies Test and ODI Teams.
Permaul, who is fast developing into a genuine all rounder is one of seventeen Berbicians to have played Test cricket for the West Indies. He has represented West Indies in four tests and six one day internationals and has twenty international wickets to date.
