Dear Editor,
Mr. Harry Gill seems to have nothing to do and loads of time to do it. His new hobby is being a mouthpiece for the PPP. I do recall, some time ago, he was writing against the Government. Now, he speaks from the other side of his mouth.
This gentleman, who pontificates about the developments which have come about since the PPP has been in Government, must impress me by itemizing the new projects which have come on stream. Please do not include repairs to projects which were there when his Government took over. And, please do not list those purposely erected white elephants which were constructed so that monies could be siphoned off. Come clean, Mr. Gill.
Now, on to Mr. Gill’s proclamation that the former president served the country well and that we should be proud of it. NO, Mr. Gill, speak for yourself. You may have personal reasons to be proud. Incidentally, the majority of Guyanese were not so well favoured so that we can be proud. We have been mentally and financially abased. We are still standing by the good Graces of the Almighty.
Could Mr. Gill explain who, other than the PPP officials themselves, could get the results of the ‘jumbie’ poll published in the Guyana Chronicle? If the Opposition forces cannot even get air time on the Nationally owned NCN, would they be allowed to use the Chronicle? I sympathise with the sacrificial lamb. Accept what is evident, the PPP party is imploding and Mr. Gill is positioning himself as a lifebuoy.
Some advice for the gentleman who seems to be looking for a place in the sun – your corrupt Government has already stolen and sold the UV Rays. Try hanging your mouth someplace else.
And, in future, do not try to dictate who and what we should be proud of. We have managed to salvage enough intelligence to decide on that and, it is by no means your sweetheart Government.
