Lower Corentyne vs. Corentyne Comprehensive (male); Port Mourant vs. Central Corentyne (female)
Lower Corentyne Secondary will square off with Corentyne Comprehensive Secondary in the male final of the GBTI/Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club Inter-Secondary Schools Tapeball tournament, while Port Mourant Secondary and Central Corentyne clash in the female final, both set for today at the Area ‘H’ ground.
In respective semi final matches, Lower Corentyne defeated Central Corentyne Secondary by seven wickets while Corentyne Comprehensive got the better of Winifred Gaskin by 38 runs. Defending female champions, Port Mourant cruised past Manchester High by 55 runs while Central Corentyne took care of J.C. Chandisingh by 62 runs to book their respective places in the finals.

Central Corentyne lost to Lower Corentyne by seven wickets. Central Corentyne 51 for 8 in 10 overs; Jawan 15, Keith Simpson 3 for 7 and Nigel Russel 2 for 12. Lower Corentyne 54 for 3 in 7.5 overs; Keith Simpson 24, Ezekiel Simpson 12, C. Lyte 2 for 17.
Corentyne Comprehensive defeated Winifred Gaskin by 38 runs. Corentyne Comprehensive 109 for 1 off 10 overs; Surendra Budhoo 45 not out, Avinash Ramnarine 30. Winifred Gaskin 71 all out in 8.5 overs; H. Budhoo 14 and O. Budhu 13. Emanuel Seecharran 2 for 10, Germaine Pollard 2 for 12.
Females
Central Corentyne hammered J.C. Chandisingh Secondary by 62 runs. Central Corentyne 89 for 9 off 10 overs; Shaneeta Grimmond 30, Nandanie Tyman 14 and Jennifer De Guiar 12. Merlene Casy 2 for 6.
J.C. Chandisingh 27 all out in 6 overs. Y. Cho 13. Nicasy George 4 for 6, Shaneeta Grimmond 2 for 3.
Port Mourant Secondary defeated Manchester High by 55 runs. Port Mourant 85 for 6 in 10 overs. Erica Lashley 38 not out off 29 balls. Diana Leitch 2 for 11. Manchester High 30 all out in 9.1 overs. Aleema Arokium 3 for 4, Denesser Fraser 2 for 6.
The female final between Port Mourant and Central Corentyne will bowl off at 10:00hrs while the male championship game between Lower Corentyne and Corentyne Comprehensive will commence at 12:00 noon.
