Following the successful staging of its second Republic Cup, the Georgetown Cricket Softball League Inc (GSCL Inc) will host their inaugural President’s Cup starting from March 14. The competition will continue on March 15 and conclude on the 22nd.
The tournament will be played in the over-40 and open categories and entrance fee for both segments is $25,000. The launching and draw will take place on March 11 at GNIC Sports Club, Woolford Avenue at 17:00 hrs.
The venues are yet to be indentified and the first eight sides that enter will be accepted in both divisions.
The winning and runner teams in both categories will pocket $200,000 and $100,000, trophies and other incentives.
Teams are asked to uplift the competition regulations upon paying their entrance fee at GSCL Inc head office, Seaforth Street, Campbellville. For more information teams can contact GSCL Inc assistant secretary Russell Jagbeer on 225-4802 or 226-4205.
