Life Fitness Gym Team – Osmond Mack, 35, is a Certified Optician and owner of Eye Wear Optical. He is
married with two Children. Four years ago Osmond got into fitness as part of his mandatory medical therapy. He suffered a broken shoulder blade, in a motorcycle accident. However, Mack assured all his Cross-Fit fans that his shoulder is completely healed and he is ready for this competition.
Mack took part in his first fitness competition last year, the International Power lifting competition and finished as a Caribbean Level Gold Medalist. He has been working out with Life Fitness gym for approximately two years.
Having never practiced the cross-fit style of exercise before, Mack says he decided to enter this competition because he loves to challenge himself. Mack said he is aware that the competition will be stiff and his goal is just to place, however, if he is good enough to win then that would make him happy.
Denroy Livan 34 is a Valuation Officer at the Ministry of Finance. He’s a single father of 1. In 2011 he took part in the Novice Powerlifting Championship, and finished as a Gold Medalist in his weight class. Livan described himself as a fitness enthusiast and loves working out.
Livan said he has never done any Cross-Fit style exercises before, but he has watched the Cross-Fit games on television. When asked why he decided to compete in the Cross-Fit games Denroy said, a phone call from a friend woke him up one Saturday morning, and that’s when Osmond Mack convinced him to participate in the Cross-Fit games.
I’m very competitive, but I don’t have any high expectations for the Cross-Fit games, my main goal is to finish. Of course, ultimately like everyone else I hope to win but, I really just want to have fun.
Janis Alphonso 28 is a housewife with two children. She has never competed in any fitness competition before but she has been into fitness for the past three years. Janis says she has incorporated some aspects of a Cross-Fit style workout in her gym routine and is looking forward to the competition on March 1.
Ms Alphonso said the guys on her team convinced her to take part in the competition and she is confident that she will do well on March 1, she also added that she has a very strong team.
Rudolph Blackman 22, is a Personal Trainer and Electrician, he’s married with one child.
He has taken part in several Body Building and Powerlifting competitions. Blackman finished 1st place in both the 2010 Novice Body building championship and 2012 Senior body building championship. In 2014 Blackman got 3rd place overall in the Senior Powerlifting Championship and this month he won 1st place overall in the Junior Powerlifting Championship.
In his Powerlifting and Body Building off seasons Blackman does high performance, high intensity training which incorporates some aspects of Cross-Fit training. He has been working out with Life Fitness Gym since they opened their doors approximately two years ago. He says he has a passion for fitness and has been into fitness for six years.
Blackman entered the Cross-Fit competition for the challenge and to support his team members. He said he feels confident, and is excited to compete on March 1.
