Former chairman of the Special Events Committee of the Berbice Cricket Board and current secretary of the
Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club is tasked with the responsibilities to plan and organize the Board’s Annual Awards Ceremony to be held on April 11th 2015. Even though he has resigned from all positions of the Board to concentrate on the work of his club, he had committed himself to assist on special projects only if the need arises.
At an executive meeting of the board held recently, members decided to approach Mr Foster to spearhead the event. The long serving secretary of RHTY&SC and experienced administrator accepted willingly.
Speaking on behalf of the board, president Anil Beharry said that he is happy to have Foster on board to assist and he is confident that it will run smoothly. He added that Foster has tremendous experience and skill to pull it off with flying colours and said that the BCB is open to all stakeholders of cricket in the county who are willing to work towards the further development of the game. “Cricket like other team sports should unite and not divide people”, he stated.
