After having a very successful year of activities in 2014, especially at the youth and the school level, the Hearts of Oak Master Football Club (HOMFC) is set to commence their 2015 football season in earnest tomorrow by staging an Inter Primary School tournament for schools in the New Amsterdam/Canje areas for both boys and girls.
The tournament, which will be played for four days, is expected to culminate on Friday with the finals being played at the All Saint Scot Church Ground, Princess Elizabeth Road, New Amsterdam, which incidentally is the venue for all of the matches.
Kick off time is 14:30 hrs on each day with each game lasting for 30 minutes.
Seven schools have been invited to participate in the competition namely – St Aloysius Primary, All Saints, New Amsterdam and St Therese, Fort Ordnance Overwinning and Lochaber Primaries.
Trophies and other incentives will be presented to the top two schools.
There will also be incentives for most valuable Player, best Goalkeeper, best defender and most promising player among others.
The day’s activity will be coordinated by Neil ‘Grizzly’ Humphrey and members of the HOMFC.
