Former Treasurer of the Guyana Football Federation, Aubrey William Henry was laid to rest
yesterday following a Thanksgiving Service for his life which was held at the Tucville Assemblies of God Church.
Henry, who also served as Treasurer of the Guyana Boxing Board of Control, Past President of the Georgetown Junior Chamber and a past stalwart of the Jaycees, died last week in the USA following a brief period of illness.
The tributes were many and focused on the sterling contributions the late Henry made to the many organizations he was associated with during his lifetime. Among the common qualities highlighted by the many persons who paid tribute to Henry was that he was a stickler for discipline and one who was always willing to offer words of advice to his colleagues.
Pastor Kemuel Rock was the celebrant. The remains of the late Aubrey William Henry was interred at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church burial ground, Providence, EBD.
