History got a way of repeating itself. Another way of saying de same thing is that when people stay too long dem does overstay dem welcome. People who lef and go to de States or Canada and stay at family does find this out.
De first two weeks is alright, but after that de people in de house does find fault, and de next thing is that dem does put out de person who visiting.
Burnham shoulda learn that when he was in power. He stay long and after 28 years de people, nuff of dem was he own people, decide that he been too long and that he should get put out. Believe it or not, he shut he eye and lef Hoyte wid de mess he cause. De people tun and put out Hoyte, de whole Cabinet, and almost everybody who was wukking wid dem.
Then dem mek sure that nuff of dem ain’t get wuk. Sometimes dem scramble fuh tek back some of de people when dem realize that dem sweep too clean.
Now is dem other people turn. Dem come and dem stay too long. People now singing de song, “Hit de Road, Jack and don’t come back no more, no more.”
But dem ain’t want to lef, because it gun mean that dem might have to explain de money dem tek when nobody was looking. Some of dem already claiming how dem gun get punishment when dem ain’t do nutten. Like li’l children who got to get licks, when you ask dem a question dem always seh that dem ain’t do nutten.
Dem boys seh that some of dem got to go and look wuk. People like de lebbeh lip one use to tek advantage pun people. He get big from de days when he use to beg fuh lunch money. Soon he gun have to beg again.
When dem was building de Marriott dem didn’t employ Guyanese, but now that dem almost gone, dem hiring Guyanese suh people gun vote fuh dem. Dem even bring forward de date when dem gun open de hotel.
As old people seh, de longest rope got an end and dem end deh near.
Talk half and watch who trying fuh get visa.
