Leroy Seaforth appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry on Monday last, to answer a charge of break and entering.
Police Prosecutor Inspector Michael Grant, alleged that the accused, who is said to be a construction worker, broke and entered the China Lane, Kwakwani home of Saskia Conway on January 28, last.
It was alleged that Seaforth entered Conway’s home with the intention of stealing from her. An unrepresented Seaforth, who had no previous offences, pleaded not guilty to the charge and was placed on $80,000 bail.
The case has been transferred to the Kwakwani Magistrate’s Court and will be heard on February 20.
