A team of police ranks has been dispatched to conduct investigations into the reported murder of miner Devon Moore, 37, of Stewartville, West Coast Demerara, which occurred at about 17:00 hours on Wednesday at Five Star, North West District.
Details of the murder are sketchy, but a police report indicated that Moore was in his camp, when a man armed with a shotgun entered, shot him and escaped.
He was taken to the Port Kaituma Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The suspect has not yet been arrested.
