handed over the sponsorship cheque for a second year to Upper Corentyne Cricket Association (UCCA) Treasurer Mr. Vicky Bharosay for the late Ms. Parbattie Jaggai Memorial competition.
At the presentation Mr. Seeraj said the UCCA did a great job last year in organizing the competition and they are looking forward for the same this year. Mr. Vicky Bharosay thanked Mr. Seeraj for this much needed sponsorship and assured him that the competition will be organized efficiently.
The competition will feature five teams; namely; Skeldon Line Path Secondary, Tagore Memorial Secondary, Skeldon High, Central Corentyne Secondary and Black Bush Polder Secondary. It will be played on a round robin basis one day two innings format. The top two teams will advance to the knockout stages of the Berbice Cricket Board competition after playing in a grand final for the Parbattie Jaggai Memorial Trophy.
First round fixtures: Black Bush Polder Secondary VS. Central Corentyne Secondary at Mibikuri, while Tagore Memorial Secondary will host Skeldon Line Path Secondary at Tagore. Skeldon High drew bye.
