Following the completion of the Mark Wiltshire tournament on Monday last, dominoes players will be in action once again from this Sunday when the Robert Williams Memorial competition commences at Faye Joseph residence, Gaulding Place, South Ruimveldt.
Entrance fee is $9,000 and the first place team will pocket a trophy and $200,000, runner up a trophy and $100,000, third place a trophy and $50,000 and fourth $10,000. The Most valuable player in the tournament will receive $5,000.
Teams set to take part are Bottom End, In Time, Strikers, Pieces and Legends of East Coast Demerara. Frankies, Determine, GT and Brothers and West Side of West Demerara, Limpy Lotto, Unruly and Kool Breeze of Bartica. Rage, Blue Bird, Providence, Mix Up, TNT, B6, Turning Point, Transport SC, C7, Gangster, Thunder, R and R, Phantom, F and H, Scramblers, Spartons, Cody Girls, OPKO and Bad Boys of Georgetown.
The competition is being sponsored by Blue Bird Dominoes team and will be played in memory in former deputy mayor of Georgetown Robert Williams. Teams can contact Mark Wiltshire on 665 5855 or Faye Joseph on 685 1009 for further details while corporation teams can call Barbara Marshall on 663 8280.
