A tyre burst on a minibus travelling along the West Coast Berbice (WCB) Public Road yesterday and the driver lost control of his vehicle, BMM 562, resulting in three persons suffering injuries.
The incident occurred around the vicinity of Number 29 village, as the vehicle was heading in the direction of Georgetown, shortly after 08:00 hrs, transporting school children and workers. According to reports, two school children and a teacher had to be rushed to the Fort Wellington Hospital where they were being treated for injuries. No other passenger was harmed.
Police are investigating.
