Dear Editor,
On November 5, 2014, I wrote to this newspaper a letter concerning advice that I suggested to the leader of the opposition (APNU) David Granger and leader of Alliance for Change (AFC) Khemraj Ramjattan, on a matter of winning any elections in Guyana against the People’s Progressive Party.
It will not be an issue of a coalition. This will be wrong all over; the P.P.P will always win them on this ground. Rather I suggest that the A.P.N.U and its leader David Granger do not contest the upcoming General and Regional Elections but fully support and campaign for the Alliance for Change.
It was and still is my hope that with the A.P.N.U giving its full support to the A.F.C that these two parties will obtain victory. However, when the time will come to form an agreement, it will be an A.F.C and A.P.N.U Government.
The A.F.C has been leading the way with the support of the A.P.N.U on most of the Bills that were presented before the National Assembly. There would be no problem with the A.P.N.U giving its support to the A.F.C.
More so, the most popular suggestion in and out of Guyana today on this issue is that there must be a partnership of which the two parties, the Alliance for Change and A Partnership for National Unity are collaborating. I believe in what is best for Guyana.
The Office of the President and the Office of the Prime Minister must be divided and shared.
All the other Government Ministries Department and Agency must be negotiated in spirit of national responsibility love for our Country.
Thank you.
