Vijaya Mallela of the United States of America scored 96 marks to emerge as the leading student of the West Indies Cricket Umpires Association (WICUA) oral and practical examination which was held in November 2014.
Forty nine candidates took the examination and 96% were successful. Mallela was closely followed by Derrycky Davis of Barbados with 95 marks. Essequibian Anwar Baksh chalked up 91 % to be the top Guyanese.
