In its continuing efforts to strengthen the capacity of the Guyana Foot ball Federation (GFF), Normalisation Committee (NC) has appointed Mr.
Kareem Jones as Director of Finance.
Jones will be a key member of the Administrative Secretariat and will be responsible for the accounting operations of the federation. He will also have direct responsibility for financial reporting and will be responsible for leading cash flow planning, operational budgeting and monitoring, and strategic business planning.
Among the essential duties and responsibilities the Director of Finance would have to shoulder will be designing and implementing all aspects of accounting operations and the preparation of annual financial forecasts/budgets, annual and monthly financial statements and other accounting reports and projects as necessary; Oversee the development and maintenance of internal control and effective accounting systems and policies and be responsible for day-to-day finance and accounts operations among others.
The GFF NC recently appointed a new Technical Director in Claude Bolton for the next four years while Jamaal Shabazz was appointed Head Coach for the friendly international against host Barbados on February 1st, next.
An ad is currently out to fill the position of General Secretary that has become vacant following the resignation of Ms. Mabiola Howard who was acting in that position under the Christopher Matthias led administration after previous GS, Noel Adonis had resigned.
