Marketing Manager at The Builders Lumber Yard, Shivani Salim (second, right) hands over the sponsorship cheque to Lionel D’Andrade yesterday while a staff also shares the moment.
Builders Lumber Yard yesterday renewed its long-standing sponsorship arrangement of distance-running ace, Lionel D’Andrade, who opens his 2015 competition season tomorrow morning with the Bigi Broki Waka 10km race in the neighbouring Suriname.
The lumber yard has been supporting D’Andrade for the last decade as he continues his career as a distance athlete, based in Trinidad and Tobago. Marketing Manager of Builders’ Lumber Yard, Shivani Salim said that they are proud to be D’Andrade’s sponsor. “We’ve been supporting him as one of his major sponsors over the years because we believe that he is talented and has a good career. We want to continue to support him since we believe that it is this support that will help him become the best,” Salim said.
D’Andrade thanked the company for their support over the years, stating that he hopes that their unflinching support continues since his international participation in events wouldn’t be possible without them. D’Andrade is a consistent regional competitor.
