Alika Morgan shares a moment with some of the children at the Red Cross Convalescent Home in Durban Backlands.
Guyana’s distance running queen, Alika Morgan, with support from Payless Variety Store, was benevolent during the Christmas season when she handed out over 40 presents to the Red Cross Convalescent Home in Durban Backlands.
Morgan said that the gesture meant a lot to her since she came out of similar situations to become one of Guyana’s most recognised distance athletes. She noted that she just wanted others to share her success; hence she decided to spread Christmas cheer.
