The unknown man, who continues to target women who live alone in communities along the Essequibo Coast, is continuing his invasion of homes throughout the Essequibo Coast.
According to reports, the house of a woman at Richmond Housing Scheme was broken into and the woman was attacked on Thursday night last.
Reports stated that the woman apparently was alone at home when the intruder launched his attack. While the report of rape is still uncertain, reports of the woman being physically abused by the intruder were made since marks of violence are reportedly evident on the woman’s neck.
Just over a week ago, another woman at Lima, said that she was attacked by a man who had invaded her home.
A series of incidences of rape and attacks on women who live alone have been fueling comments. These women are especially scared of the attacker who continues to evade the police.
Many women have opined that they are convinced that it is the same person who previously attacked women in Devonshire-Castle. He has since moved from that village and is currently launching his attacks on women in Anna Regina, Henrietta, Richmond and Lima.
The attacker rapes and in some instances, steals women’s underwear.
Residents in general are clamoring for the police presence in areas where women are most vulnerable.
