Hosts Lusignan Sports Club won their Ram Slam T/20 cricket final playing against
neighbours Annandale, Good Hope and Mon Repos last Sunday.
The action started off with Good Hope vs Annandale. The former won the toss and put Annandale into bat and they scored 121 for 5 off 15 overs with Leon Morgan 69 not out. Bowling for Annandale Rajendra Naikbarran led with 3 for 22 off 3 overs.
Good Hope replied with 122 for 3 off 14.1 overs, Vishnu Ramjeet 52 not out and Kumar Bishundial 25 not out led the chase, while bowling for Annandale, Tameshwar Motiram took 1 for 23 off 3 overs.
Game 2 between Lusignan and Mon Repos saw Mon Repos batting and being restricted to 76 for 4 off 15 overs. Somnauth Bharat made 29. Bowling for Lusignan Stephen Alick took 2 for 19 off 3 overs. Lusignan responded with 80 for 1 off 7 overs. Krishna Deosarran led with 55 not out. Bowling for Mon Repos Ferron Kadir took 1 for 28 off 3 overs.
In the final, Lusignan took on Good Hope. Lusignan in their innings struggled to 94 for 8 off 15 overs with Krishna Deosarran hitting 44. Bowling for Good Hope, Kumar Bishundial took 2 for 27 off 3 overs and Vishnu Ramjeet 2 for 8 off 3 overs.
Good Hope in reply found the going no better as Lusignan held them at 86 for 8 off 15 overs with Kumar Bishundial hitting 26. Bowling for Lusignan, Steven Ramdass took 3 for 15 off 3 overs andStephen Alick 3 for 9 off 3 overs.
The winner received a trophy and medals, while the Runner up a trophy. Best batsman was Krishna Deosarran and Best bowler Stephen Alick.
