Seaman feared drowned in Cuyuni mishap
A seaman is missing and feared drowned following a boat mishap in the Cuyuni River yesterday

According to reports out of Bartica, the boat, identified as the ‘Fenella 2’, had just come from an area known as ‘Devil’s Hole’, when it struck a rock. The victim, who is so far unidentified, fell overboard.
Police at Bartica confirmed that they had received the report and said the victim is still to be located.
Kaieteur News was told that the vessel was powered by a 200 HP YAMAHA outboard motor and is a registered passenger boat that usually operated from Bartica to the Cuyuni River.
